Checking language, privacy and commercial-use limits

Verify the specific feature, data policy and output license your work depends on.

Updated 5 Nov 2026 · Educational editorial guidance

01

Check language by feature

A product may support a language for transcription but not for voice generation or dubbing. Confirm the exact language, dialect and feature, then review a representative sample with a fluent speaker.

Descript publishes different lists for transcription, caption translation and dubbing. A broad multilingual label therefore should not be treated as identical coverage everywhere. The catalog only lists individual languages when the checked source names them.

02

Separate visibility from data handling

Public or private output visibility is one question. Collection, retention, training and processing locations are others. Check each requirement against the vendor's current policy and your selected plan.

Recraft's pricing FAQ distinguishes public free output from private paid output. That distinction does not, by itself, answer every privacy question. Do not upload sensitive material solely because a generation is described as private.

03

Read the permission that applies to your output

Check whether commercial use is allowed, attribution is required, and the permission depends on when content was generated or downloaded. Review rights in any source images, recordings, scripts or likenesses you supply.

AIVA describes different licenses for Free, Standard and Pro. Suno's current paid-plan help also distinguishes commercial use from a guarantee of copyright protection. Treat these as vendor policy statements and seek appropriate advice for consequential uses.

04

Keep evidence and revisit changes

Save the plan identifier, policy URL and date checked alongside your decision. Recheck when changing tiers, publishing for a new client or using a new feature.

An unknown field means the research did not establish the answer. It does not prove that a feature is absent or that a use is permitted. This guide reports documentation checks and does not claim hands-on testing or legal certification.
